I'm not looking at my hand; I'm not looking at my nose. I'm looking inside at the God that has deigned to do drag as MJH.

You're seeing the whole universe concentrated down into man form, and that man form is learning to concentrate long enough to see himself as the whole of the universe.

The universe is never mistaken, she's ceaseless, and made of bliss! What a gift this sometimes faulty yet never imperfect bag of bones is!

I didn't make this shit up, and I've got @rupaulofficial and @davidgarriguesyoga to remind me that this look is *sickening*.

I've been sharing Hatha Yoga techniques with the office of Housing and Urban Deveopment for almost eight years.
Their depth and skill grows, consistently. The staff changes, and there is always someone new. I love meeting people where they are (metaphorically and literally) and gesturing them towards better health of body, mind, spirit. I'm so enriched when the gesture becomes action and the action becomes ... Something greater.
I feel privileged to watch consciousness expand in unexpected places, with unsuspecting people.
Three things I've been told this week:
"I'm not scared anymore" "I was able to use what I learned during labor" "I didn't know I could do that."

It's important to receive assistance sometimes. This week I helped assist @davidgarriguesyoga with his 2nd series intensive. To me, it's a big deal that my fellow students allowed me the space to learn David's methodology in a different way. Thanks, team.

"Heeeey senator's son," yelled the lady who panhandles on my corner. We've known each other for years. "Normally you're dressed like the guy who dates the senators son," said Chris.

David's dedication to making the process of yoga available and tangible to absolutely anyone inspires me. He teaches me yoga, he teaches me to teach yoga. He holds my foot for me when I can't, and he let me fall down. He encourages autonomy, pragmatism, and devotion. "Keep practicing-- it makes a difference! Even when it doesn't seem like it. With time, you will find self knowledge. You will become a seer!"

My homie, Jo. @ladyhawkzuzu has dedicated her life to helping others pick themselves up and find love for their self. Bootstraps, backbends, and balls. She kept the community cohesive, helped with small details, and got the dirt under her nails for DG's Kovalam intensive. She's the shit.

This is still technically a high-5, right? I cropped this from a dope shot over at @pegmulqueen -- go check it out.

I love the full shot of this, and the other one is great, too...I'm super into the beach heart we made.

@jrene01 is *werking* that hat

Sunset across Siolam/Chapora bridge. Caught the end of day after an adventure on bike through back roads. Decided to eschew the map and just go.

"Paradise Beach," promised Junida. Her fellow traveler said it was stunning, the best (and purest!) around. He laid out the route to the very best spot. "It's quite far," she told us.

We followed a map written on the back of an old napkin (or envelope). Photographed by phone, the hand drawn map led north, out of India's smallest state and into Maharastra.

Passing woman wearing saris as we traversed dirt roads, it was clear we weren't in Goa anymore. A similar sentiment crept in as the catholic iconography gave way to temples to Kali and Ganesh.

Soon, we were at Redi fort, an inlet away from "Paradise Beach."

Sometimes the view of Paradise from the side is better than paradise itself.

The best piece of advice I've ever received regarding travel is "Don't leave until you've left." This silhouette welcomed me on my first somewhat anxious hello, and kept me company as I licked my wounds of goodbye. Now, it gives me a kind of peace as a piece of my history.

I remember @tarabrach talking about emotions being like storms in one of her Wednesday Dharma talks. It stuck with me.

Forgive my paraphrasing, but emotions, they're like weather patterns. Keep your eyes on them and wait em out. They're bound to change.

The clouds will break, and sure as anything, that ol' grey sky'll shift.

Just you wait and see.

If only I had snapped faster. That, friends, is a dog on a scooter.
My scooter at home says "no pets" in the boot-- this is much more logical.
