in imageA lot of people try to counteract the 'I
am not good enough' with 'I am good
enough.' In other words, they take the
opposite and they try to invest it. That
still keeps the world at the level of
polarities. The art is to go behind the
polarities. So the act is to go not to the
world of 'I am good' to counteract 'I
am bad, or 'I am lovable' as opposed
to 'I am unlovable' But go behind it to
'Iam.' Iam. I am. And I am includes
the fact that I do crappy things and I
do beautiful things and I am. That
includes everything and I am.

in image"What does the voice of fear whisper to you?
Fear speaks to you in logic and reason. It
assumes the language of love itself. Fear says
'I want to make you safe.' Love says, 'You are
safe.'Fear says, 'Give me symbols. Give me frozen
images. Give me something I can rely on.'
Loving truth says, 'Only give me this moment.'
Fear would walk with you on a narrow path
promising to take you where you want to go.
Love says, 'Open your arms and fly with me.'
Every moment of your life you are offered the
opportunity to choose - love or fear, to tread
the earth or to soar the heavens."

The Bhagavad Gita famously says "Yoga is the
journey of the self, through the self, to the self." At
the risk of sounding corny, I think yoga is also the
journey from me to we. I started yoga to better
take care of myself. I continue to practice yoga
because it helps me take better care of myself and
better care of others. It also helps me put my
guards down enough to let others take care of me.
Yoga is not just about bending over backwards. It's
about reaching out a hand. You never know what-
or who- you might find on the other side. We heal
in community.

in imageFor so long everyone has wanted to hold on to the belief
that the United States is a class-free society - that
anyone who works hard enough can make it to the top.
Few people stop to think that in a class-free society there
would be no top.

MARĪCHYĀSANA A
Left Side — 5 to 8 Breaths
Dṛṣṭi: Pādayorāgrai (Foot)

Vinyāsa Meta View
When doing the Marīchyāsana poses (A, B, C, D) remember to place more of the weight in your legs rather than sitting back on your pelvis. Visualize a Russian folk dancer in a low squat with hips just off the ground, dexterously kicking his legs out in front of him in time with the music. By lightening your seat and grounding your legs in Marīchyāsana, you'll win more freedom to project your spine forward and achieve a deeper forward bend.

Happy Equinox (from @theyoga.club newsletter)
in image4. Holistic vs. Linear Thinking:
While linear thinking focuses on cause-
and-effect relationships, systems theory
embraces holistic thinking, considering the
entire systemn's dynamics. In yoga, this
means moving beyond viewing a single
pose as a cause and injury as an effect.
Instead, we explore the holistic context of
our practice, recognizing that many factors
contribute to our well-being. For example,
Michael has concert tickets for Friday night,
and he needs a night on the dance floor like
a good gay. This makes a 9am class time
tough. In order to make sure Michael
doesn't begin to resent his job, he needs
time to go blow off some steam. Having a
self-practice day ensures that the Mysore
room is in capable hands going forward.

"I am not your acceptable gay"
in imageThe call to split the TQ+ from the LGB is not new.
"Acceptable Gays" have tried to distance themselves
from Queers, Transgender and Non-binary folks
since before those words existed. Yet Acceptable
Gays were not spared in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s or
90s, no matter how subtle, rich or famous they
were. They still got their ass beat, they were still
outed and arrested under sodomy laws, they still
lost their jobs, their names were still printed in the
papers, they still lost their homes under moral
clauses, they still couldn't marry or serve.
Acceptable Gays still died of AIDS in droves.
Today's "LGB Gays" are not enlightened or
groundbreaking free thinkers, no matter what
social media says. They're clichéd bootlickers with
no sense of history. They believe this split would
spare them but our persecutors are just working
their way backward through the LGBTQ+. Those
who hunt us always come for the entire alphabet.

Part of the heart of anarchy is, dare to go against the
grain of the conventional ways of thinking about our

I completely reject the idea that I am broken or
disordered because the DSM pathologized the
way my brain works because it doesn't
conveniently fit into capitalistic and
neuronormative expectations.
Is adhd disabling? Of course, and for some
more than others. I'm not trying to take that
away.
But I wholeheartedly believe the problem is
that we expect every human to function, think
& act a certain way rather than getting curious
about how to build a world that supports
neurodiversity.
