I liked "Sticks & Stones" (the second book in the cut & run series) even more than its predecessor. Taking the buddy cop/mystery/romance and shifting the setting made for compelling reading. Introducing a family that reminded me of mine added to the joy.
I am LIVING this trashy romance novel life.
I'm self employed and will likely lose my health insurance because of these plates in my face and that PTSD I had for a hot minute. I didn't love my premiums, but I was glad to have health care.
I encourage y'all to read "Cut & Run" -- finally a page turner with queer characters, damaged and unapologetic.
There has to be a word for feeling very young and very old at the same time.
