Create your own band and first CD cover, the Facebook way! This is how to come up with your own:
1 - Go to "Wikipedia." Hit âRandom Articleâ
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to "Random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
3 - Go to flickr and click on âexplore the last seven daysâ
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together
5 - Post it to FB with this text in the "caption" and TAG the friends you want to join in. (you can untag yourself if you don't want this photo up)

Quick and engaging article about "Umami"-- something that rang a bell, but was deeply interesting to have spelled out.

Courtesy of Monique's amazing art-and-life blog, Meristem Studio, I stumbled across this print on Etsy. It's gorgeous. Monique referenced it as haunting, and I'd can't say it beter.

Good news all around.
Maybe I'll be able to grow myself a new liver.

I now have an every-10-minutes bus that stops at my house, the new Target, the Adam's Morgan Hemp Shop (Capitol Hemp), and a final destination next to the zoo.
Amazing.
And only $1.

14th Street's getting a new coffee house, just above the not-quite-recently relocated Miss Pixies @ 1626 14th.
For those that don't know, I spent a good chunk of my early DC life as a barista/cocktail server at the Dupont South Cosi. We were the "other side of the tracks" Cosi, serving up scandal with our Double Oh! Arctic Mochas.
After becoming firmly disenchanted with my coffee options here in mid city, Daddy went out and got himself a french press and coffee grinder. Now I only grind freshly roasted beans every morning.
When I want a little treat, ACKC does a good job of filling my caffinated sweet tooth, but what about when I need to get off the couch and do some work? Where do I go?
Certainly not cruise-a-bou at 14th and Rhode Island. I'm excited!

misplaced his lift book and ipod. grrr.
I've got to go get a copy from the library. Has anyone read about it? OUT Magazine used a portion of it to "out" Matt Drudge (you know, of the drudge report).

I've been doing a lot of educational reading.
Yoga, yoga, yoga.
The topic of Batman managed to leach a few hours from me. Here is a round up/summary of whats been happening in the bat books over the past year.
I'm hoping Dick Grayson ends up as Bats, but thats just me.

Lets see whats most revealing? I am tickled that "Donnie Darko" and "Catcher in the Rye" as well as Reading got such high marks amongst my friends.
The Radiohead is not unexpected. I am surprised, however, that I have so many gemini friends. Thats my sign 🙂
