If you've never pushed yourself to develop
your body or your fitness to an incredibly
high level in a given area, I think the
chances of you being a good coach to
someone else in that area are slim to none.
You can know everything about the science
behind dirt, rocks, roots, and branches, but
until you've walked a trail you can't tell
anybody else what that experience is like.

The wake up call I needed
was my box jump and
over the shoulder med ball throw.

There have been a tremendous number of
useless screens and movement tests for
training in the history of the fitness and
performance industries. Here's a useful
battery though.
Rotational med ball throw
Goblet squat
Box jump
If somebody has pop and the squat looks
good, they're going to be easy and fun to
train. If it's marshmallows and a train
wreck, lower your expectations.
