“Old is Gold,” Maria said approvingly of my decision to rent a scooter from the same gentleman as the last few years.

My land lady, in her gruffly-sing-song voice repeated herself "Old is gold,” as we eyed two uneven stacks of plastic chairs. Both were low enough to sit upon, though one was a good foot taller than the other.
Maria, being a solid foot shorter than me, took the lower stack, hefting her weight without concern.. Fearful I would break my stack (and consequently my ass and ego), I removed a single chair from the top and set it next to hers.

Here we are six years later.
The thing i love most about being both a student and a teacher in the ashtanga yoga tradition is the very same thing i love most about the human experience — developing relationship.

She shoulda told me to move the chair.
Join me and @dcashtanga at the @eatonworkshop starting March 4th.
