Today, i relish the roll of the earth off my fingertips, like a perfectly set layup on the basketball court. An effortless swish.

Yoga is a system for self realization and one of the truths that we come across is that a body in dis-ease often leads to a mind that is in dis-ease. Consistant practice helps to return the body and mind to harmonious states— that means healing what can heal in the body— the ankle, wrist, or rib — and developing compassion and equanimity in the mind for that which is now different. The secret is that its always different— the constant is the awareness of this little mortal coil. When they work together— awareness and kriya yoga, the emergent properties are humbling and awe inspiring.
