"I'm from San Francisco. I know folks who've,
you know, been in the system and they'll just
say flat out, 'Look, like, she's a cop.' On the
other hand, what's always been really telling
for me is that there are a lot of folks within
San Francisco's criminal justice reform
system, a lot of organizers, a lot of community
groups that are pretty ride or die for her. Like,
they don't agree necessarily with all of the
decisions she's made, but they recognize that
she was one of the few people to even give
them a seat at the table."
