Guys-- can anyone provide some reading on "safe spaces" versus "self segregation"? I see affluent folks participating in things that skirt the law on the regular, under the guise of "gay inclusivity" (using areas without permits, public drinking, etc) and they are mostly white monied men.
I know that we need safe spaces to gather and share common experience, but when does that become detrimentally exclusionary? When does it breed racism, classism, and homonormativiyy?
