A Mood Is Not a Practice
Most meditation you have tried was an app telling you to clear your mind, then a bell. Pick a mood — calm, focus, sleep — and it hands you a loop. That is not a practice. That is a vibe with a subscription.
The research says the practice does real work. A 2022 randomized trial put an eight-week mindfulness program head to head with Lexapro for anxiety, and it matched the drug. But that study did not sell anyone a mood. It taught a structured protocol, held over weeks. Structure is the active ingredient nobody screenshots for the app store.
I had said for years that meditation deserves better than a loop. Saying it is free. So I built the receipt instead — a curriculum, not a mood generator. The full arc lives here: thirteen six-week courses, seventy-eight guided sessions, opening at ten-minute introductions and climbing to thirty-minute sits, with Yoga Nidra running longer. Not one technique dressed thirteen ways — eleven genuinely distinct practices: Body Scan, Anapanasati, So-Ham, Metta, Tonglen, Trataka candle-gazing, Walking and Moving Meditation, Yoga Nidra, the Dharana → Dhyana concentration ladder, and finally Self-Inquiry, the “Who am I?” the whole path was quietly pointing at.
Depth like that usually means you drown on day one. Here you do not, because the floor is deliberately low and the audio carries you up it. Every one of the seventy-eight sessions is engineered guided audio — intro, posture, technique, then structured silence with gentle returns for when the mind wanders, because it will, and that is the rep, not the failure. Press play and follow the count. Deep library, ten-minute onramp.
And it is yours. Not a rented app mining your stillness for engagement data — a self-owned platform we built and run, your practice in your own garden, not Meta’s, behind one membership that opens the whole shelf. Look under the hood if you want to see how it is put together.
This is Ashtanga without the cultural scaffolding — the eighth limb doing its measurable work, laid out as eleven techniques you can actually learn instead of a feeling you rent by the month. Don’t guess. Assess. Start at ten minutes and stay for the arc — it is part of the Yoga Club.
