President Trump plans a primetime national address focused on election machines and voting integrity, revisiting unproven claims about the 2020 election. Democrats warn he's attempting to delegitimize the 2026 midterms, while Republicans distance themselves from relitigating past elections. The speech represents another use of presidential authority to amplify personal grievances rather than address nationally significant events.

Teaching:
• When students fixate on past injuries or perceived failures in their practice, they miss the present moment's actual information—attention stuck in narrative rather than sensation
• Repeating the same story about why a pose doesn't work becomes the obstacle itself, like insisting the floor is wrong instead of adjusting your foundation
• The difference between legitimate pattern recognition (this transition always collapses my shoulder) and conspiracy thinking (my body is conspiring against me) is testability and willingness to be wrong
• Authority figures who refuse correction create unsafe containers—whether in politics or yoga spaces, uncheckable power corrupts the feedback loop

Writing seeds:
• Essay on confirmation bias in practice: how we select evidence that our body is broken/special/different rather than testing hypotheses through consistent method
• Post contrasting presidential addresses (reserved for national crises) with how we treat our practice time—do we reserve the mat for genuine inquiry or personal drama?
• Piece on the difference between legitimate grievance and grievance as identity, using examples from injury recovery and political rhetoric
• Short post on systems that lack correction mechanisms: what happens when feedback loops are severed in practice, teaching, or governance

Idea map:
• Systems literacy requires functioning feedback loops—when authority figures reject correction, the system becomes illegible and dangerous
• Attention captured by narrative (election conspiracies, injury stories) cannot simultaneously attend to present conditions—this is the practice problem
• Embodiment means testing claims against reality: does this cue produce the promised result, does this conspiracy hold up to evidence, does this adjustment actually help
• Practice as method depends on reproducible results and willingness to revise—the opposite of doubling down on unverifiable claims
