Immanuel Kant
In his early work, Kant embraced German rationalism. In 1781, Kant stepped back onto the stage with the Critique of Pure Reason: shifting the center of knowledge from the world to the mind that knows it. No longer was the mind a passive mirror of reality. Instead, reality always appeared through the architecture of our perception.
