Choose a Growth Area: Inviting Inspiration
You may wish to consider an aspect of your teaching you wish to expand or evolve. Creating such a focus area prior to class can inspire movement beyond habitual patterns.
- The growth area can be a personal goal or a response to feedback.
- A focus could be to be more aware of every student’s individual practice or to move more around the class.
- Another intention could be to perform more targeted assists or adjustments; providing more quiet time; giving the opportunity for long holds; or being more consistent in carrying through a theme.
The intention of compiling the teachings above in a Sequencing Framework is to break down the process of where to begin, providing a starting point and an overall approach. For specific sequencing principles, see Plan & Sequence to choose your desired area of focus.
